Safe & Sound Protocol

The Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) is a researched-based program designed to reduce sound sensitivity while improving social responses and mental flexibility. The SSP requires the participant to listen to specially-filtered music designed to stimulate the vagus nerve. Based on the Polyvagal Theory, by calming the nervous system, the SSP can result in improvements in the following areas:

- Social and emotional difficulties
- Sound sensitivities
- Anxiety
- Inattention
- Communication
